About the V2Ray Setup Guide

Our role, the core ecosystem, and the scope of our documentation.

Our role

V2Ray Setup Guide is an independent resource for using clients; it is not affiliated with core or client developers. We organize download links for v2rayN, v2rayNG, and v2flyNG, and explain subscription imports, routing rules, and DNS settings. Download clients to find installation options for your system; use the configuration reference to look up field definitions. We do not provide nodes, subscription services, or connection credentials.

Project V and its core projects

Project V is an open-source ecosystem built around network communication tools. V2Fly continues community maintenance of V2Ray, while Xray developed from related code; their protocol support and configuration details have gradually diverged. Graphical clients organize settings and run a core, but a client’s name is not the core’s name. Support for REALITY, specific transports, or flow depends on the core and version in use.

Editorial standards

We maintain download links by checking project release information, package types, and destination sources. Tutorials follow practical workflows and note the conditions for steps tested hands-on; results from one setup are not presented as universal. Interface labels and defaults may change between updates. If something differs, check your client and core versions, then use the user guide to find the relevant steps. Remove subscription URLs and credentials before reporting an issue.

Responsible use

This site is for technical learning and configuration reference; it does not guarantee service availability or security. The respective projects maintain the software, and remote services are the responsibility of their providers. Before use, understand and follow local laws, network policies, and service terms. Connect and test only in environments where you are authorized to do so.
